My inspiration in life has always come from Angels. Angels are all around us, you just often times have to look for them.

One week before marrying the love of my life, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a mastectomy. During my 6-month recovery I was homebound and unable to perform the simplest tasks. During my recovery, I learned to have to depend on the services and actions of those entrusted with my care. Today, I am in remission and not just surviving, but “thriving”.

Through my life’s journey, I have always had a genuine desire to serve others and to make a meaningful difference especially for those that are unable to help themselves. After spending 20+ years working in the corporate rat-race, I determined a different life direction was in order. After gaining my certification as a Nurses Assistant. I accepted a very rewarding position as a CNA in hospice.

It has been a long held belief of mine that by elevating the self-image of an individual regardless of their medical prognosis, we influence their perception of feeling and being well. Many people find themselves homebound for a variety of reasons….. from post surgery to hospice, many with medical conditions that leave them unable to secure these services for themselves.

My very first patient was a 46-year young female diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer with less than 6 months to live. Each day that I cared for her, she would have me bathe her, wash & style her hair, give her a manicure, a pedicure and of course make sure to use her favorite lavender lotion, so that she looked and felt beautiful for her family when they came to visit.

I found myself reaching out to fill this huge void in the marketplace. It was then that I not only recognized the value and necessity of home beauty for homebound patients well-being, but also for their happiness and dignity as well.

Angels On Earth Home Beauty is a unique business. It is my intention for the name "Home Beauty" to describe what my business has to offer, while the word "Angel" describes those who aspire to help those who cannot help themselves.
